Judge Jeffrey Warnick (Ret.) served as an Associate Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County from 2009 to 2025. During his service in the Law and Municipal Divisions, he presided over a wide range of civil bench and jury trials, motion hearings, and settlement conferences. He also served in the Chancery Division and had a felony trial call for several years.
Judge Warnick brings extensive trial and litigation experience to his work, having conducted more than 75 jury trials and over 500 bench trials. He was appointed the Supervising Judge in the Second District. He also has appellate experience.
Before his judicial appointment, Judge Warnick was a partner at a litigation firm, where he represented insurance carriers, insureds, and businesses in matters involving arson and fire claims, construction disputes, subrogation, insurance coverage, and serious personal injury litigation.
With a legal career spanning more than 45 years as both a litigator and judge, Judge Warnick offers deep insight and seasoned judgment in his current practice as a mediator and arbitrator, helping parties resolve disputes efficiently and effectively outside the courtroom. He is known to be a workaholic and be completely prepared before trials and settlement conferences.
